MEASURING EQUIPMENT

NTS are constantly reviewing processes and procedures to make sure the quality of product is to the highest standard. With the volume of high precision machining being performed, it is critical that the measuring equipment matches the requirement. To assist the quality group in providing a detailed inspection report, NTS have purchased a portable CMM device. This unit consists of an arm with six rotation axes, designed for high accuracy measurements on work pieces. System is connected to a computer which allows for quick accuracy verification and print out of final results.

Mazak Machines

Within the NTS ME facility we have a Mazak i500 and 2 off i400 Integrex mill/turn machines. These units allow simultaneous 5-axis vertical machining that performs multiple and complex curved surface machining on small complex workpieces with high-precision requirements in single setups. This enables us to offer reduced production lead times while improving machining accuracy on single or serial production items.

HF1000, 2000, 3000, 5000 & 6000 HARDFACE COATINGS

As part of our manufacturing process, we offer a range of hard facing options to provide reduced wear and erosion on a wide range of tools;

HF1000 - Crushed tungsten carbide held in a nickel bronze matrix. The 3mm grain size ensures greater concentration of carbide, which is ideal for soft drilling formation

HF2000 - Trapezoidal tungsten carbide inserts held in a sintered carbide nickel bronze matrix. This gives greater depth of carbide coverage, ideal for high deviation drilling in abrasive formations

HF3000 - Tungsten carbide inserts set in a powder spray deposit, with 97% bonding guaranteed. This is ideal for abrasive formations

HF5000 - This oxy acetylene process applies tough molten carbide particles of varying sizes held in a nickel chrome matrix, which provides excellent bonding properties and greater surface wear

      LASERCARB®

      Technogenia and NTS Middle East has established a Joint Venture company to bring Lasercarb® technology to the Middle East Region. A similar capability will be installed in NTS Saudi during Q4 of 2017

      Lasercarb® is cost effective solution for manufactured components, is quicker to apply than conventional coatings and can be used on a range of thin-walled tools as the process does not affect the carbide grains, which maintain their intrinsic qualities. The deposits are metallurgically welded to the base metal. They are also extremely dense, very precise and easily reproducible and offer the following advantages over conventional coating techniques;

      • High resistance to abrasive wear
      • High strength of metallurgical bonding, avoiding delimitation issues
      • Excellent resistance to shocks, homogenous wear and no flaking/chipping
